Overview:
The RealSmart Clamshell Card is encapsulated with RFID transponder inside and ABS shell and PVC cover label. The thickness is about 1.8mm which is thicker than 0.8mm ISO standard card, so it is also called thick card.
Owing to its simple encapsulation form, clamshell card is more cost-effective than other smart cards in many applications, which also makes it one of the best selling RFID cards.
There's a hole in the upside of the card, which is for hanging with a lanyard. Therefore, it is widely used in access control, work attendance, logistics, identification, etc.
